APPROACH

I work in a Transpersonal framework, defined as "experiences in which the sense of identity or self extends beyond (trans) the individual or personal to encompass wider aspects of humankind, life, psyche or cosmos". What is often the tangible experience of this for the client is a sense of being seen and heard, not only the hearing of their words but also seeing the impact it has had on them in this experience of shared being.

As a trauma-informed, holistic counsellor, I use Somatic Experiencing, the shared intuition of the therapeutic relationship, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, Strengths Based therapy, EFT, Family Systems, Parts work, tools of Yoga, and Nondual Spirituality to help bring a more authentic and satisfying relationship within yourself and with others.

All of these can be very powerful tools for healing, self-exploration, and personal growth. Some of my specializations are:

  • anxiety and overwhelm

  • isolation

  • relationship difficulty

  • negative self-talk/image

  • self empowerment, spiritual growth

  • working through change/transitions

Insurance

My professional association ACCT has agreements with the following insurance companies: Alberta Blue Cross, ClaimSecure, ComPsych, Equitable Life of Canada, Green Shield Canada, Manulife, Pacific Blue Cross, SunLife. However please make sure your employer’s plan covers my services, as individual plans may vary even with the same insurer.

Please check your coverage carefully by asking your insurance provider the following questions:

  • Does my plan cover a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC)?

  • What is the coverage amount per year and per therapy session?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Be advised that I don't bill the insurance company directly, but I provide you a receipt which you can use for

reimbursement through them.
